A plumbing emergency is any situation that poses an immediate risk to your property or safety -- burst pipes, gas leaks, sewage overflow, flooding, no hot water in winter, or complete drainage failure. If water is actively leaking or you can smell gas, call immediately.

What To Do In An Emergency

No Hot Water?

  • Check your switchboard — has a breaker tripped?
  • If you're on gas, check your gas bottle isn't empty
  • If neither fixes it, call us — we'll diagnose and sort it

Blocked Drain?

  • Stop using water in the affected area
  • If sewage is overflowing, isolate the area and keep kids/pets away
  • Call us — we'll clear it and CCTV inspect if needed

Pipe Leaking?

  • Turn off water at the boundary valve (toby) at the street
  • Turn off your hot water cylinder at the isolation valve
  • Call us — we'll get there as fast as we can

Smell Gas?

  • Don't touch any light switches or electrical appliances
  • Don't use your phone inside the house
  • Open windows and doors if safe to do so
  • Evacuate the premises immediately
