At Water & Gas Worx, we supply and install the full Rinnai Infinity range throughout Auckland. Whether you are replacing an old hot water cylinder in Mt Eden, upgrading from a low-pressure system in Remuera, or fitting out a new build in Hobsonville, the Rinnai Infinity A26 is a proven choice for households that need reliable hot water without compromise.

Warranty

Rinnai backs the Infinity range with solid warranty coverage. You can expect a 10-year warranty on the heat exchanger (the most critical component) and a 3-year warranty on parts and labour. This is competitive with other brands in the market and reflects Rinnai's confidence in the product's durability.

Why the Rinnai Infinity A26

The A26 delivers 26 litres per minute of hot water. In practical terms, that is enough to run two showers at the same time without any drop in temperature or pressure. For most Auckland households with one or two bathrooms, the A26 is the ideal size.

The unit is wall-mounted on the exterior of your home, which means it frees up the space your old hot water cupboard used to occupy. No more bulky cylinder taking up room inside the house. The compact design sits neatly against an outside wall and connects directly to your gas supply and plumbing.

From an efficiency standpoint, continuous flow is hard to beat. Unlike a traditional cylinder that heats and reheats water around the clock, the Rinnai Infinity only uses gas when a hot tap is open. When the tap closes, the burner shuts off. You are not paying to keep 180 litres of water hot while you are at work or asleep. For families across Ellerslie, Panmure, and the wider Auckland region, this translates to noticeable savings on monthly gas bills.

Models in the Rinnai Infinity Range

The Infinity range comes in four sizes. Choosing the right one depends on how many hot water outlets you need to run at the same time.

Model Flow Rate Best For Gas Types
A16 16 L/min Apartments, 1 bathroom NG + LPG
A20 20 L/min 1 bathroom + kitchen NG + LPG
A26 26 L/min 2 showers at once -- most popular NG + LPG
HD56 37 L/min 3+ bathrooms, light commercial NG + LPG

Not sure which size suits your home? Give us a call and we'll assess your hot water demand and recommend the right unit. We install across the North Shore, East Auckland, Central Auckland, South Auckland, and West Auckland.

Natural Gas vs LPG

The Rinnai Infinity range is available in both natural gas and LPG models. If your property is connected to the natural gas network, as many homes in Grey Lynn, Ponsonby, and central suburbs are, a natural gas model connects directly to your existing gas meter. For properties without mains gas, particularly in areas like Beachlands, Maraetai, and rural East Auckland, the LPG model runs from 45kg gas bottles or a bulk LPG tank.

Both versions deliver the same performance. The main difference is fuel supply and running cost. We handle the full installation for either setup, including gas pipework, regulator fitting, and the required gas safety certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Rinnai Infinity cost to install in Auckland?

A fully installed Rinnai Infinity A26 is $3,599 incl GST. Supply only is $1,299. If you are switching from a cylinder, the cost may be higher because new gas pipework and flue positioning may be required. We provide a fixed quote before any work starts.

How long does a Rinnai Infinity last?

With proper maintenance, a Rinnai Infinity typically lasts 15 to 20 years. The heat exchanger is warranted for 10 years and parts and labour for 3 years. Annual servicing helps extend the life of the unit and maintain efficiency.

Can I replace my hot water cylinder with a Rinnai Infinity?

Yes. This is one of the most common upgrades we do. We remove the old cylinder, install the Rinnai Infinity on an external wall, run the gas and water pipework, and issue the gas safety certificate. Most installations are completed in a day.

Which Rinnai Infinity model do I need?

For most Auckland homes with 1-2 bathrooms, the A26 is the right choice. If you have a small apartment or unit, the A16 or A20 will do the job. For larger homes with 3 or more bathrooms, the HD56 provides the extra capacity needed.

Does the Rinnai Infinity work with LPG?

Yes. Every model in the Infinity range is available in both natural gas and LPG. For properties without mains gas, we install the LPG version with 45kg gas bottles or a bulk tank. Same performance, just a different fuel source.

Is continuous flow cheaper to run than a hot water cylinder?

In most cases, yes. A continuous flow unit only uses gas when a tap is open, so there are no standby losses. A traditional cylinder heats and reheats water 24/7 whether you use it or not. Most households see a noticeable reduction in their gas or electricity bills after switching to continuous flow.
